The Governors are seeking to appoint a Special Support Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team. You will be required to support a Year 1 pupil who has a Statement of Educational Needs. This post is temporary whilst the pupil attends the school and their statemented needs remain the same.
A practising Roman Catholic would be desirable or a person committed to upholding the ethos and values of a Catholic school.
It is desirable that you possess a Diploma in Childcare and Education; NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD); NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning; Foundation Degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification.
Experience of providing special needs support in an educational establishment is desirable.

It is proposed that a new pay structure will be introduced that will replace the current pay arrangements, with implementation following a period of consultation with Trade Unions.
